A new coffee house in Puyallup

September 2, 2011 the Alpha and Omega Coffee house opened for business. Located at 1015 North Meridian in Puyallup, Washington, it is a full service restaurant, has live entertainment; including a dance floor, and free pool. Daniel Shaughnessy, owner of the Alpha and Omega coffee house, explained the history of his coffee house, “I was inspired to do the coffee house about 13 years ago. I felt it was a personal vision. It had its origin in desiring closer Christian community, in a safe and positive atmosphere. When people come here, they feel peaceful, you know what I mean? We try to create an atmosphere that people are comfortable, we wanna have the best food, best coffee, and best environment for people to relax, enjoy themselves, and have fun.”

Daniel shared how the coffee house is unique compared to other coffee places, “Unique with its two free pool tables, large music area and dance floor, and full service restaurant. Plus, we have recovery meetings every Tuesday at 6:30 pm which is a Christian based 12 step program. The Hope Center Church meets here every Sunday morning at 9 am. They have Christian Worship music and they talk about the Bible. It’s really neat, I like it a lot. Family and Friends…that’s what it’s all about.”

The coffee house serves an assortment of hot breakfast items, salads, sandwiches, burgers, which are all made on homemade bread, including homemade desserts. Drinks include: Citavo brand coffee, Coca-Cola products, and a full service espresso bar. When asked what items he recommends on the menu, he replied, “My favorite item is probably the signature burger because it’s on homemade buns, it’s a third pound ground chuck roast which is never frozen, it’s fresh, and it’s just delicious.” He discussed the best thing about the coffee shop, “We have the best food in town and I can say that’s true. We have the best ingredients and the best quality food we put out. People love our food and the music venue is always a great time for people.”

Daniel mentioned upcoming events at the coffee shop, “Our live Christian music venue because it’s a real opportunity to play in a safe environment, not in a bar, alcohol, and drug free. Kids can come, there’s no age limit. We serve food until 11 pm on weekends.  We’re not a Denny’s or fast food restaurant not fast food, but good food.”

Daniel recommends everyone to visit his coffee shop, “Everyone should try it and see what it’s about. They’ll be happy…people are happy with it. We have the spaces available for rent for birthday parties and do the food for Birthday parties on Sunday and Monday nights (for exclusive parties).” Daniel commented about the Alpha and Omega, “It is a wonderful place for young and old to enjoy themselves and we just like seeing them happy with their food.”

The coffee house is open Monday and Tuesday from 7 am to 4 pm, Wednesday and Thursday from 7 am to 10 pm, Friday and Saturday from 7 am to 11 pm, and Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm.
