LeMay – America’s Car Museum (ACM) in Tacoma, Washington is coming up on it’s 1 year anniversary and will be celebrating with a post-war America “Jazz!” gala on Saturday, June 1, 2013. On Sunday, June 2, ACM will be opening up its new Legends of NASCAR exhibit.
ACM, the largest car museum in North America covering 165,000 sq. ft. on a nine-acre campus, took President and CEO, David Madeira 10 years to complete. Madeira raised $65 million in the midst of the recession to build and open the doors to the Tacoma-based museum. The museum hosts concerts, weddings, annual meetings and even drive-in movies. It has slot car races for kids and adults, new exhibits rotating at least twice a year and full racing simulators.
