On Tuesday, December 18, from 5 pm to 6 pm, children age 3 to 12 are invited to decorate sugar cookies with Mrs. Claus. Tyler Eidson, recreation coordinator for the city of Puyallup, informed us that parents are encouraged to stay and help their children at the event. The event will take place at the Puyallup Activities Center located at 210 West Pioneer Puyallup, WA 98371.

Tickets are $12 for persons that are residents of Puyallup and $14 for non-residents. Those that are interested need to rsvp for the event by this Sunday, December 16, 2012 by calling: 253 841-5457 or going in person to the Puyallup Recreation Center located at 808 Valley Avenue NW Puyallup, WA 98371.

Tyler explained details of the event, “Mrs. Claus is our guests of honor, helping kids decorate sugar cookies with different types of candy and frosting on top.

Mrs. Claus be there the entire time to answer questions from the kids, to decorate their cookies, be available for pictures, and anything else kids might ask or want from her.”

Tyler commented on the event, “I think the cookies and Mrs. Claus is a great opportunity to experience doing something creative. Kids look up to a person such as Mrs. Claus, as she is a phenomenal person. Santa normally gets the recognition during this time of the year and Mrs. Claus can be someone to look up to and ask questions about, since Santa does that already on a day to day basis.”

Tyler revealed the best thing about the event, “It’s seeing the looks of astonishment and enjoyment when Mrs. Claus is talking to the children.”

Tyler discussed how the event is unique, “I think it’s unique because Mrs. Claus is there. Santa Claus is around, but Mrs. Claus is a little rarer to see.”

Tyler recommends any child from age 3 to 12 and their parents that want to help them out at the event.
