May the 4th be with you…celebrate your love of Star Wars!

Saturday, May 4, from 3 pm to 4:30 pm, the Summit Pierce County library located at 5107 112th St. E. Tacoma, WA 98446 will have their first annual Star Wars event. The event is for all ages, and costumes are encouraged, but not required. No registration is required and the event is free.

Kit Thompson, content writer for Pierce County Library System, explained: “It’s a great chance for Star War lovers to get together and celebrate Star Wars. They came up with the clever title “May the 4th be with you,” which is a quote from Star Wars, “may the force be with you.” The event was planned by the Summit Team Council and one of the team council members will be showing the kids how to be a Sith Lord. Attendees will also be able to create light sabers. Awards will be bestowed for costumes and knowledge of trivia.”

Kit recommends anyone who loves Star Wars to come to the event.  For more information about the event, please view the flyer here, or visit: piercecountylibrary.org or call: 253 548- 3321. “I hope everybody comes and has fun. Lots of staff will be in costume that day as well,” Kit concluded.

  1. WOW This is awesome. I love Star Wars as well as Star Trek. This would be a great event to attend. And I’d “Love” to go. However I’m already committed to two other events on that day with a very beautiful lady whom I’d rather spend quality time with. : )
    Thanks Carly you’re amazing.

I Agree with Bob, ….W O W ! ! ! Wish I could attend. Not a REALLY big fan but,I am a fan of ‘fan clubs’ if that makes sense. One can get several answers to any question on Star Wars .
