Operation Ham Grenade supported by Hampton Inn and Suites Grand Opening

The Hampton Inn and Suites in Puyallup will have their grand opening on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 3 pm until 6 pm at their hotel. They will have hors d’oeuvres, beer, and wine. They’ll also be supporting “Operation Ham Grenade” to help our local military families this holiday season. The event is free.  The hotel actually opened October 21st at 1515 South Meridian in Puyallup Washington. According to Mollie Mad, sales manager, the opening staff of 21 employees are the same people that brought the furniture into the hotel, mounted the fixtures, etc. Mollie commented, “The hotel staff is really the heart of the hotel. Hampton Inn and Suites is the largest Hilton brand. There are 1,500 Hamptons nationwide and it is the largest growing Hilton brand.”

The owners also own the Hampton Inn and Suites in Tacoma, 4 Points by Sheraton in Seattle, and the Courtyard Marriott in Bellevue, Washington. The owners’ grassroots for owning businesses started in Puyallup.

Mollie shared what she thinks of the new hotel, “It’s a fabulous business; it’s been really great since the opening.  There are 122 guest rooms in the hotel.” She mentioned the best thing about the new hotel, “The location and community that surrounds it. Puyallup is definitely up and coming in the area…ready to boom. There is a lot of business and leisure travel coming to the area.”

Mollie discussed how the new hotel is different than others, “We’re unique because we are driving the eco friendly concept. All our breakfastware is biodegradable. Our shower curtains are made from plastic bottles. Hampton Inn and Suites is backed by the 100% guarantee. If the guest isn’t satisfied, we will refund their stay without any questions. We stand by our product; you have to be wowed every time.”

Mollie explained the purpose of the Grand Opening event, “Let the community know we’re here, open, and happy to be here.” Mollie expressed what she thinks of the event, “Really exited; the local high school band will be marching and present the colors to the Junior ROTC. There will be marching for the American flag. Local business owners will be here, Puyallup/Sumner Chamber of Commerce will be here, national businesses will be here, and the Puyallup community.” Mollie feels the best thing about the event, “The community will be able to come and see our product and see what the Hampton is all about.”

Mollie discussed what many people may not know about the event, “That we are supporting operation ham grenade so they need to know bring some money to donate.” Mollie mentioned how the event is unique than other events, “The only Hilton branded product to the area… definitely very unique. It’s the largest hotel in the Puyallup area.”

When asked who she recommended attend the event, Mollie replied, “Any local business owner, any hotelier, anybody who wants to know what’s new in area and in their community, and anybody who doesn’t know what the Hampton is.”

As for who Mollie recommends to stay at the hotel in general, “Everyone; we are designed for corporate travel however, the size of the rooms are for families as well we accommodate and are cost conscientious here. We don’t increase rates and try to offer a fair comparable rate for everyone. I think it’s great for anyone coming to the Puyallup area.” When asked if she recommends her family and friends to stay at the hotel, Mollie replied, “Yes, definitely a home away from home.
