Station House 726

Station House 726 was originally built for the local Fraternal Order of Elks, in 1924. The building has changed hands several times, and was purchased by the Pierce County Professional Firefighter’s IAFF Local #726 in 2012.  According to Di Haley, office manager for IAFF Local #726: “The flagpole is still the original yellow birch flagpole, erected when the building was first built.  The last group that owned it was the Showman’s group prior to being purchased by Local 726. Station House 726 is a member purchased building to be used as a union hall for the members of IAFF Local 726.”

The elegant building has had several interior renovations, and the IAFF Local #726 has plans for some system upgrades in the future. The historical venue is available to rent for many local events, such as weddings, banquets, and parties.

The Fall Bridal Open House will be held at Station House 726 on Sunday, September 29, from 12 pm to 4 pm. The event will introduce the venue to the community as a place that can be utilized for a weddings and receptions, or other events that serve the community. Brides will have the opportunity to meet with vendors that can help their wedding planning go smoothly.

Di commented: “I think the event will be a great place for a bride. It’s one stop shopping with ideas for planning.”
