Now that the fall weather is starting to loom on the horizon, you may be thinking to find a go-to place to take your kids to play when the weather’s a little too inhospitable to be outside. Chad Harvell, recreation coordinator for Pierce County, offered that Tiny Tots Indoor Playground may be what you are looking for. “This is a great program that allows those with small children to come and play for a couple of hours to be active and interact with other children and parents. During the fall, winter and spring months sometimes it hard to find a safe, fun place to play and the Lakewood Community Center offers just that.”
The Tiny Tots Indoor Playground is at the Lakewood Community Center, and is for children age 2 to 5, and their parents/guardians, to come for fun, socialization, and crafts! Children will be able to run, jump, climb, and explore in this safe environment while creating fun with oodles of toys and space.
The Lakewood Community Center is located at 9112 Lakewood Dr. SW Lakewood, WA 98499. Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am to 11 am.
Session A: September 10 through September 26
Session B: October 1 through October 24.
Session C: October 29 through November 21.
Session D: November 26 through December 19. (There is no playground November 28)
For any series, you may choose once per week at $8, or twice per week at $16. Fees are $2 for drop-in (space permitting).
You can register online, and find more information at www.piercecountywa.org/parks or at the Lakewood Community Center at 253-798-7461.
