Think Small. America’s Car Museum is celebrating the car that embodies the free-spirited 1960s this year with Vee Dub: Bohemian Beauties, an exhibit dedicated to the Volkswagen. An unlikely love-affair, Ferdinand Porsche’s German “people’s car” found success and fame in mid-twentieth century America amongst a class of people looking to be a little different.
An exhibit sure to please, Vee Dub will feature several examples of German engineering from private collectors and the museum collection. Volkswagen of America has leant three rare and significant vehicles to the exhibit, making this a show you won’t want to miss.
You can share your unique Volkswagen stories with us on social media with #VWACM. Our favorite stories will be featured on a digital display in the exhibit. ACM invites you to take a trip back in time and experience the outsized impact of the little German car brand that could.
The exhibit runs from January 11 through April 5 at LeMay – America’s Car Museum. For more information, visit the website at www.lemaymuseum.org or contact the museum at 253-779-8490 or firstname.lastname@example.org
